A Daily Run

Engaged leaders are on a daily runIn the 1984 fictional movie Forrest Gump, Forrest becomes famous for running. What began as a jog “to the end of the road” continued for 3 years, 2 months, 14 days, and 16 hours. Each time Forrest arrived at his destination, he set off on another run and continued zig-zagging across the United States, until one day he no longer felt like running.

This running involves foregoing self-interests. Being willing to come under personal rights helps leaders reach others and offer hope amid a world that has changed.

Today, you may find yourself like Forrest Gump whereby you don’t feel like running anymore. We have all been there. May I say this…keep looking ahead to the prize. Don’t rely on your own strength. Allow people to run alongside you. They are awaiting the opportunity to lift you up.

Stay encouraged and stay strong!
