Things You Can offer Employees That are Better than a Raise

As per a report from global brand consultancy Calling Brands, corporate purpose is increasingly becoming a potent force influencing attraction, retention, and productivity. The survey findings indicate that, on average, 57% of respondents express a preference for joining an organization with a clearly defined purpose. Additionally, an average of 65% state that purpose would inspire them to go the ‘extra mile’ in their roles, and 64% believe it would foster a stronger sense of loyalty towards their employing organization. The significance of purpose as a driver of engagement is expected to gain more recognition among corporations.

While it may be evident in organizations with life-saving missions like the American Red Cross, the question arises for those in comparatively ordinary organizations. However, there are still ample opportunities to establish a meaningful connection between employees and the overarching purpose of the organization. Initiatives can include discussions about the company’s history, its founders, the rationale for its existence, the essential needs it fulfills, or even showcasing customer testimonials about how the company’s products or services have positively impacted them.
