Business Office Manager The primary purpose of this position is to organize, direct and administer the facility Business Office functions, including record keeping, patient billing, accounts receivable and central supply. These duties are carried out to ensure fiscal prudence and compliance with corporate policies/procedures, ethical business practices and state/federal laws and regulations. This position reports directly to the Administrator. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: · Verifying payor eligibility for all patient admission inquiries · Entering and posting census, resident fund transactions, cash receipts, adjustments and ancillaries on a daily basis · Completing all month-end activities by established deadlines. This includes balancing cash and accounts receivable reconciliation, billing Medicare/Medicaid/Insurance/Private statements and verifying receipts of claims. · Assisting patient families with financial admission and application for Medicaid, if applicable. · Managing the facility’s front office and reception areas · Serving as a back-up for Payroll in the absence of the HR Coordinator · Supervising the performance of HR Coordinator, Business Office Assistant, and Receptionist · Creating and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis
